Brad's parents visit..

Brad's parents came from BC for the weekend. It was nice to see them as we haven't seen them since last Christmas. They got here on Wednesday afternoon and we had a nice dinner with both set's of parents. On Thursday we went to the Temple Garden Mineral Spa which was relaxing. Then on Friday we did the tunnels of Moose Jaw. It was actually quite interesting, Moose Jaw has so much history. Be sure to do the tunnels if your ever here. Here are a couple of pictures of the weekend! Last night Brad's mom and dad treated us to dinner. We were celebrating (a little early) our one year anniersary. We went to Hopkins... where Brad and i got engaged! It is an old character home they have converted into a beautiful restaurant. We had an amazing meal and then drove out to the lake to show his parents our new cottage.

Visiting the Duckies

Last night Brad and i took Jackson to the park. He loves to feed the duckies and swans. Whenever we tell him to smile for the camera it makes us laugh because he forces this cheesy little smile out. (As seen in the picture above of Jackson and Brad! )I have really enjoyed being an auntie, it is nice as my sister Lauren and parents live only a street over and a few blocks up from us. Brad and i usally see them every other day. My other sister Danielle is also expecting. In fact she went into labour this morning at 4:00am. We just heard that she is 5 cm dialated. I'm sure by the morning i'll have a new neice. Unfortuanately her and her husband live in California so we don't see them very often. I'll update when the babe arrives!!!! HURAAY!!!

A Cottage at the Lake

My parents recently bought a cottage out at the lake. It's about 25 minutes north of Moose Jaw. I grew up in Sk, and honestly had no idea that such a beautiful lake exsisted so close to us. Brad is also pretty pumped as he thinks that no hill, tree or lake exsists in this province. It will be nice for our whole family to have somewhere to go in the summers and holiday's. My mom and dad plan to renovate the whole cabin, i know it will be beautiful when they are done with it. Here are some pictures of it.

Heather and Edwin's visit...

This last weekend we had our friends Heather and Edwin come from Swift Current. Edwin is a carpenter and was able to put on a new door for us. It was helpful as we didn't even have to buy one. We had an annoying metal screen door that slammed so hard everytime someone came in. Edwin was able to take that ugly door off and replace it with one of our other doors. He also framed the door and put a new peice of glass in. Now were going to paint it a deep red. We were very happy with his work, it looks so good. So Ed if you reading this, THANKS for all your work.. we appreaciated it! On Saturday night we all went into Regina to the Keg. We had a wonderful meal, the chicken fahitas ( i don't know how to spell that) were very tasty. Brad and the others had steak, he was a little chocked with his meal though. Instead of serving yummy vegies with his meal they gave him this big fat tomato. Brad hates tomato's! Since when did restaurants start doing that? O well we had fun, and we left feeling very satisfied.

This past weekend we had Brad's cousin Jodi her husband Kevin and little Jack Jack came to visit. They live on a farm outside of Melfort. It was great to have them,we were able to connect with another couple which was great for Brad and i! We went to the spa last night , and then went to my most favorite coffee shop in the world..... JAVA EXPRESS!!! They have the most incredible fraps. I just have to take a minute or two to desribe them. They are a blended ice drink with a hazel mocha mix, topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce! Then to make this evem more delicious they give you a hedgehog chocolate on a stick and it is to die for. You have to try this drink.. it is soooo good!!!!!!!!!!! Will post some pictures soon!

Family Reunion in Melfort, SK!!!

This past weekend we were up in Melfort, Sk for a family reunion. Brad's mom's dad (Grandpa Taylor) is one of 12 and he is the youngest. Brad's grandpa and two of the sisters are still living of the 12. All the family's from all 12 of the siblings were there. This was a new expeirence for me, my first family reunion! Both my parents come from small family's, so it was nice to marry into a large family. Brad has so many cousings and all those cousins have kids as well. There was 350 people at the reunion and that was only HALF the family. On the Friday before the reunion started we went horseback riding and quading around the farm where we were staying. We rode the horse bare back and with a saddle. It was neat for Brad to show me all around the farm. Brad and his family grew up going back to the farm each summer, creating many memories! It was a nice treat to be surrounded by so many family members. Brad has some really fun cousins, and they all have kids, I got to hold babies all weekend. On the Saturday night there was an auction and i ended up receiving a baby blanket for our Lord willing future baby.( hehe) You can tell i was around babies all weekend hey? It was also nice to see Brad's sister Lindsey and Brad's mom who flew out from Vancouver! Will post some pictures of the reunion soon...
